I am pleased to observe that Gensuke has joined the professional
ranks of printmaking in his home city of Tokyo. His commitment
to fine art, the use of the human figure, and masterly processes
is evident in his exhibition record. While a student at Los Angeles
City College, his dedication to the traditional processes of etching
was inspiring. He worked very hard to infuse tradition with contemporary
attitudes. His continued use and development of the human figure
was exciting. He was the recipient of many awards and acknowledgments,
but was also an individual of good character.
