個展によせて、アメリカ時代の版画の恩師からの言葉

I am pleased to observe that Gensuke has joined the professional ranks of printmaking in his home city of Tokyo. His commitment to fine art, the use of the human figure, and masterly processes is evident in his exhibition record. While a student at Los Angeles City College, his dedication to the traditional processes of etching was inspiring. He worked very hard to infuse tradition with contemporary attitudes. His continued use and development of the human figure was exciting. He was the recipient of many awards and acknowledgments, but was also an individual of good character.

（訳）私は玄介が母国の街、東京でプロフェッショナルな版画家として仲間入りしたことを嬉しく思う。
彼の芸術への献身、人物描写と技術習得は展覧歴を見れば明白に解る。
L.A.C.C.で学生だった頃の、彼の伝統的なエッチングに専念する作業は刺激的で、伝統を現代芸術に吹き込む大変な努力を惜しむ事は無く、人物を描き続ける彼の発展ぶりは興奮に値するものだった。
彼は幾つもの受賞歴と周囲の認証を得ているが、謙虚かつ個性的な一人物である。
